This office and warehouse building is the perfect example of how a metal building can be attractive, optimize space and continue to maintain a low budget. The designers of this two story metal building used a notched floor plan to maximize the amount of building that could be erected on the property. To allow natural light, a clerestory was added.
The architect gave this building in Rohnert Park a high tech look in keeping with the owner’s industry. Rheodyne designs and manufactures fluidic platforms used by instrument manufacturers, scientific investigators, and laboratory technicians and is considered to be "The Industry Standard."
Below the 12' elevation of the building, the walls are comprised of durable concrete tilt-up panels that resist dents and damage and aluminum storefront glass entry, supported by the metal building structure. An aluminum louvered sun screen on the south and east walls creates visual interest while having practical light, heat control and comfort applications.
The roof is comprised of metal standing seam with R30 insulation. Design considerations for the durable roof structure included the need for the roof to support approximately 50 mechanical units and a suspended catwalk for maintenance of equipment in attic space.
